Improve lead generation on your B2B website with these three tactics
Nowadays the entire website needs to be geared towards lead generation. These so-called “brochure websites” and now a thing of the past. Here are three tactics that can be implemented on your sites to start generating leads from the traffic that does come in.
Redesign
Any website that can be mistaken for a “brochure websites” needs an immediate redesign. The website should be geared towards inbound marketing and content creation. Webmasters have already started the shift towards a content-centric marketing strategy. In fact, 76% of B2B marketers say they will be focusing on content creation in 2016.
Call to action
The first basic tactic here is the have a CTA (call to action) and a value proposition associated with it. The next step is to make sure that CTA is everywhere. It should be on all pages. A good example of a CTA: “Get tips right to your inbox and become a better marketer”. Why wouldn’t you drop in your email address and become a better marketer?
80/20 rule
The 80/20 rule is famous for many things. In this case, take the approach where 80% of content on the website is useful to your visitors and only 20% should be promotional. With a lot of traffic social media driven, educational content is shared far more than promotional. In addition, once the top content has been identified, do not be shy to promote and re-share that content repeatedly over a period of time.
